Had the pleasure of creating this fun and futuristic cover for Jems’ March issue. I was asked to render something that was somewhere between the Jetsons and a NASCAR pit stop – painting the jet-packs and shoes was a blast (no pun intended). This was a quick turnaround assignment and I would have loved a few more days to add detail and “bling” to the illustration – but I’m pleased with the finished piece. These are the days you can’t wait to get into the studio:)
Drawing from a trip to Cleveland last month. Saw this man as my friends and I were leaving the Winking Lizard Tavern on our way to a frozen evening of outdoor hockey. Snap! Took a mental picture and sketched the essence of this drawing around midnight when we returned home.
I am not sure if this cartoon is whimsical or prophetic, but it’s a fact that we are all doing more with much, much less these days. Better limber up your toes, folks – they’re going to be needed!
Spot illustration for an article reference student EMTs being used to identify and treat binge drinking college students. Like it takes an EMT to identify a drunk college student?!!
