On July 16, 1969, Apollo 11 blasted off on a mission to the moon. The dream of putting a man on the moon came true on July 20, 1969, when Neil Armstrong took “one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” Forty-five years later, we have not been back to the moon or populated any of the moon bases children from my generation grew up reading and dreaming about. What happened to our adventurous spirit?
